Breath Test Solutions

The benefits of assessing patient health through real-time breath sample analysis has a number of obvious benefits, namely:

  1. It is non-invasive
  2. The potential for mass-testing patients at significantly reduced cost
  3. Earlier indicators of patient ill-health greatly contribute to patient outcomes
  4. Earlier intervention saves time and money
  5. Regular patient testing at very low costs improves long-term patient healthcare.

As mounting medical evidence starts to link breath-borne Volatile Organic Compounds, VOCs with specific illnesses and cancers, the breath test market opportunity is set to become a multi-billion $ market.

The Breath Test Solutions sensor is a technology adaptation project. The technology that recently delivered the World’s first organophosphate detector, developed by associated company VN Aerotoxic Detection Solutions Ltd. can be adapted to detect Volatile Organic Compounds in patient breath samples.

NOTE: The technology was originally created for the detection of the Bacteria Legionella, but has since been developed to be sensitive enough to detect far smaller molecules.

The VN Aerotoxic Detection Solutions Canary sensor, verified by the National Physical Laboratory, can already detect Volatile, and Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds, VOCs & SVOCs, and finessing the technology to detect similar molecules in patient breath samples is already underway with experimentation to detect limonene, a key indicator of liver function, see links above.

The company will develop a portable, hand-held, easy-to-use, real-time sensor which doesn’t require medical professionals to operate, and can be used at home or in healthcare environments to assist in the low-cost diagnosis of cancers and illnesses.
